How to Configure Your Email Client (IMAP/POP3/SMTP) – Manual Settings

This article explains the correct manual settings to configure an email account on desktop and mobile email apps (Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, Gmail app, etc.) for yourdomain.com.


Mail Client Manual Settings

✅ Secure SSL/TLS Settings (Recommended)

  • Username: test@yourdomain.com
  • Password: Use the email account’s password

Incoming Server: mail.yourdomain.com

  • IMAP Port: 993
  • POP3 Port: 995

Outgoing Server: mail.yourdomain.com

  • SMTP Port: 465

Note: IMAP, POP3, and SMTP require authentication.


⚠️ Non-SSL Settings (NOT Recommended)

  • Username: test@yourdomain.com
  • Password: Use the email account’s password

Incoming Server: mail.yourdomain.com

  • IMAP Port: 143
  • POP3 Port: 110

Outgoing Server: mail.yourdomain.com

  • SMTP Port: 587

Note: IMAP, POP3, and SMTP require authentication.


Calendar & Contacts Manual Settings (CalDAV/CardDAV)

  • Server: https://mail.yourdomain.com:2080
  • Port: 2080

Full Contacts URL:

  • cPanel CardDAV Address Book: https://mail.yourdomain.com:2080/addressbooks/test@yourdomain.com/addressbook
